Canales music was founded by Sammy Canales in the year 2003. Sammy started his involvement in music at a very young age. As a child, he played the violin and piano, the piano being what became his main instrument. He continued the piano till years later he became inspired by a great producer by the name of Pablo Aguirre to begin composing music, taking his musical interest a step further. This being a new interest as he had previously had a professional career as a dancer. He attained over thirty national and international first place awards as a soloist and toured nationally and internationally with various companies and performed along the side of such people as Tom Hanks, Drew Carey and Brittany Spears. Within a year, he began his first professional experience in music with an internship at Geoff Levin Music in Burbank, CA. (Geoff Levin Music being a multiple award winning music studio) There he assisted in multiple music recording and editing sessions for various artists and films. As he continued here, his passion for music grew tremendously as the musical tasks he was assigned grew more and more allowing him to express his musical talent. Sammy interned at this studio for roughly four years and then moved on to working with various other producers, assisting them in various recording sessions. Such producers Sammy then assisted/interned for and/or worked with were Kenny O'Brien (4 Grammy Award winning producer), Pablo Aguirre (Grammy Nominated Producer), David Campbell (Albums that David has worked on have won over 232 Grammy Nominations, and 50 Wins), Chris Landon (Award winning producer), among multiple others. Currently, Sammy is scoring for various films, television shows, and games along with producing various artists. He has thus far scored for over fifteen films, five television shows, three commercials, two video games and produced over fifty track singles along with having played the piano for ten years, the drums for two years and the guitar for one. Sammy hopes to continue to progress musically and find newer and better ways in which he could positively affect society with the music he creates.
